Biographical / Historical
Charles C. Morrison Jr. is the former Director of Land Resources Planning Office at the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. His duties were to maintain an overview on the department's programs and activities that impacted the use of land and to evaluate land-related policies, legislation, procedures, and regulations. Prior to this, he was a staff member of the former State Office for Local Government and later assigned to the DEC when it was established in 1970. In 1974, he received the American Motors Conservation Award as one of the ten outstanding professional conservationists in the United States for his work in establishing local conservation commissions and county environmental management council throughout New York State.
